I had the pleasure of meeting Kamil in person during Total Immersion courses in Nowy Sącz. Even then, he impressed me with his professionalism, calm demeanor, and tremendous passion for swimming. And today – with pride – I present his story to you.
What made you decide to create your own brand – Vital Flow?
I wanted to bring together all the areas that truly fascinate me – swimming, nutrition, and personal development. After years of working in various places and roles, I felt it was time for something of my own. That’s how Vital Flow was born – a space where I can support people in working on their health, fitness, and overall well-being.
Your career path is very diverse. Where did it all begin?
It all started at the pool – literally. As a competitor at MKS STP Nowy Sącz, a member of WOPR (Volunteer Water Rescue Service), a referee, and an instructor – I’ve been connected to water from a very young age. Later came dietetics, which I studied out of a passion for understanding how the human body works. I completed numerous courses – from psychodietetics to laboratory diagnostics. I also learned to swim using the Total Immersion method – first for myself, wanting to improve my technique, and then to be able to share that knowledge with others.
What sets Vital Flow apart?
Above all, the approach. I teach swimming to children, teenagers, and adults – recreationally, competitively, and with a focus on technique. My methodology incorporates elements of Total Immersion, but I don’t limit myself to just that method. I’m building my own style of coaching, based on movement awareness, mindfulness, and efficiency of effort – but also on specific athletic goals. On top of that, I offer body composition analysis using a professional InBody analyzer – with on-site visits, result interpretation, and education. All of this adds up to a comprehensive approach to health and fitness.
Who are your sessions for?
For everyone – truly. I have people learning from scratch, but also athletes who want to improve their technique, prepare for competitions, triathlons, or fitness tests. I also work with people who want to overcome their fear of water. I run individual sessions and sessions in pairs. For me, swimming is not just a sport – it’s a form of self-improvement, a connection with your body, a tool for finding calm and growing as a person.
Beyond the water – mountains. What do they give you?
Mountains are a space that teaches me humility and gratitude. In June 2024, I summited Kilimanjaro, which marked the beginning of my Seven Summits project. Next on the list is Aconcagua, and in 2026, I’m planning a trek to Everest Base Camp. Mountains – much like swimming – teach consistency, determination, and joy in the process.
What are your goals for the near future – professionally and personally?
I want to develop Vital Flow as a space for education, training, and personal growth. I’m planning workshops, courses, maybe even camps. And personally – to conquer more summits and refine my own swimming technique. Starting in October, I’m also beginning postgraduate studies in sports nutrition to deepen my knowledge, especially in the areas of swimming and high-altitude dietetics. I want my work to be even more cohesive and effective.
